Making the engine mount as rigid as possible could help to improve throttle response and even the shift feel to some extent.
However, when the engine mount is too stiff, all the vibration from the engine can reach the cabin, significantly reducing the comfort level inside the cabin.
In developing our engine mount, we tested various mounts of different stiffness, trying to find the ultimate balance of performance and comfort. Our final testing stage being the 25-hour endurance race.
After the final testing stage of running the endurance race, our drivers came back with positive feedback. Post-race evaluation of the engine mount proved its durability.
