Finally we have been able to source a replacement (KEY FOB) Remote for the S2000 that does not require us to pay $266 to Honda for ONE key fob. This is an aftermarket brand that has been confirmed to work in all year S2000 models. Looks just like the OEM key fob, just doesn't have the Honda logo.
Comes with battery and programming instructions.
Remote Programming Instructions
Important:
Before beginning the programming process, carefully review all instructions in their entirety. Ensure that all remote key fobs intended for use with the vehicle are present inside the vehicle during programming. Any remotes not included during this session will be deactivated and will require reprogramming to function again.
Programming Procedure
-
Vehicle Preparation:
Enter the vehicle and ensure all doors are closed. Use the power lock switch on the driver’s door to unlock all doors.
-
Ignition Activation (Step 1 of 3):
Within four (4) seconds, insert a properly cut and functioning key into the ignition. Turn the key to the "ON" position (the last position before starting the engine). Leave the key in this position.
-
Remote Initialization:
Within four (4) seconds, press and release the LOCK button on any remote (preferably a previously working remote). This will initiate the programming process.
-
Ignition Off:
Within four (4) seconds, turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
-
Repeat Cycle:
Repeat steps 2–4 two additional times (for a total of three cycles).
-
Enter Programming Mode:
Within four (4) seconds of completing the third cycle, turn the key to the ON position and leave it there.
Then, within four (4) seconds, press the LOCK button on the same remote used previously.
Note: If the door locks automatically cycle (lock and unlock), the vehicle has successfully entered programming mode. If the locks do not cycle, the procedure has failed. Restart from Step 1.
-
Program Remote(s):
Once the locks finish cycling, press the LOCK button again on the same remote within four (4) seconds. The locks should cycle once more, confirming successful programming of that remote.
-
Program Additional Remotes (if applicable):
Repeat Step 7 for each additional remote you wish to program (up to four total).
-
Exit Programming Mode:
Turn the key to the OFF position and remove it from the ignition to exit programming mode.
-
Test All Remotes:
Test each remote to ensure proper functionality. If any remote fails to operate, restart the procedure from Step 1, adjusting the order in which the remotes are programmed (as outlined in Step 7).
