The Honda S2000 axle shafts over the years have been known to experience pitting on the inside of the CV joint. This leads to vehicle vibration under acceleration. It is common practice for users to install axle spacers to subside the vibration. However, with or without the use of axle spacers the inner CV joint will eventually wear out and pit marks will cause vibration again. CV joint replacement will then be required to alleviate this issue. The sale of the CV inboards joints from Honda Motor Corp is $500.42 MSRP (part # 42320-S2A-310) This is rather expensive considering axle assembly is still needed. Another option is to purchase an entirely new axle from Honda. This is a $876.50 MSRP expense.
It is well known that many aftermarket companies who provide S2000 axles use lesser quality parts than OEM like a thinner Intermediate Shaft or poorly constructed CV Joints and bearings. In order for Ballade Sports to offer a OEM quality Axle Shaft we have taken the initiative to rebuild and repair the OEM S2000 axle only using quality components. The pitting inside the CV joints are repaired. Both inboard and outboard CV boots are replaced and re-greased. The CV joints are cleaned and bead blasted for a like new finish.
We offer a $150.00 refundable core exchange for our rebuilt OEM axles. Core must be received within 60 days of date of purchase for refund.
NOTE: Core returns must be Original factory OEM Honda Axles in re-buildable condition in order to receive the core return refund. Broken/Damaged outboard shafts, Broken/Damaged Intermediate Shafts, Broken/Damaged CV bearings do not qualify for core return. Non-OEM axles returned for core exchange refunds will be denied. Please refer to our subject photos to determine if you have an acceptable core return.
